Patrick Jerrel Padgett

Patrick Jerrel Padgett, 59, of Loango community, died Saturday, August 10, 2002 at his residence.

A funeral was held Monday, August 12 at 2 p.m. at First Presbyterian Church with Dr. Bruce Chapman and Rev. Bob Randall officiating. Burial followed in Vera Cruz Cemetery with Foreman Funeral home directing.

Survivors include his wife, Shela Padgett of Loango community; two sons and daughter-in-law, Jimmy and Lydia Mott of Navarre, Fla. and Patrick Padgett of Tuscaloosa; his mother, Mrs. Roy Padgett of Pensacola, Fla.; a brother, Rodney Padgett of Pace, Fla.; and two sisters, Peggy Wooten of Pensacola and Debbie McDonald of Jacksonville, Fla.

Memorials may be made to LBW Foundation at LBW Junior College or the Foundation for Tomorrow at First Presbyterian Church.

Pallbearers were Scooter Wooten, Tim Wooten, John Wooten, Tom Padgett, Roy Odom and Trey Parnell.

John Ruben Beam

John Ruben Beam, 80, of Beech Island, S.C., died Thursday, August 8, 2002.

Mr. Beam was native of Rose Hill having made Beech Island his home for the past 51 years. He was a member of Beech Island Church of Christ, a U.S.

Army Veteran serving in WWII and Korea, retired from the Security Department of E.I. Dupont at the Savannah River Plant and the former owner of B & W Service Station of Beech Island.

Funeral services were Sunday, August 11 at 2 p.m. at Stephen D. Posey Funeral Home with Joe Beam and Rev. Frank Hyder officiating. Graveside services were Monday, August 12 at 11:30 a.m. Macedonia Cemetery with Foreman Funeral Home directing.

Survivors include his wife, Tensie Butler Beam; three sons, Johnny M. Beam, North Augusta, S.C., Joseph Beam, Nashville, Tenn. Gregory Beam, Edgerfield, S.C.; a daughter, Joan Marie Bingaman, Augusta, Ga.; seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to the St. Joseph Hospice, 2260 Wrightsboro Road, Augusta, Ga. 30904-4726.

Pallbearers were John Bryan, Donald Bryan, Woodrow Ramsey Jr., David McGhee, Mike Caudell and Lee Wilson.

Emily Earlene Hutto

Emily Earlene Hutto, 83, of Andalusia, died Saturday, August 10, 2002 at her residence.

A funeral will be held Tuesday, August 13 at 11 a.m. at Carolina Baptist Church with Rev. Jeff Taylor officiating. Burial will follow in Carolina Cemetery with Foreman Funeral Home directing.

Survivors include a granddaughter, Bridgette Griffin; a great grandson, Taylor Griffin; two sisters, Ruth Walker, all of Andalusia and Verna Gortman of Wewahitchka, Fla.; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, J.B. Hutto; a son, Larry Hutto; two daughters, Lana Johnson and Jennifer Hutto; a grandson, John Wesley Hutto.

Pallbearers are Scotty Gortman, Victor Gortman, Gordon Helms, Rex Helms, Craig Helms and Hagler Ward.

Thelma Frances

Worley

Thelma Frances Worley, 65, of Dozier, died Friday, August 9, 2002 in an Ozark hospital.

A funeral will be held Tuesday, August 13 at Keahey Funeral Home with Rev. John Padgett and Rev. Wayne Etheridge officiating. Special music will be provided by the family. Burial will follow in the Good Hope Cemetery.

Survivors include her husband, William Worley of Dozier; a son and daughter-in-law, Ricky and Mary Jo Worley of Dozier; a daughter and son-in-law, Shirley and Mike Jensen of New Brockton; a brother, Eugene Pugh; a sister, Evelyn McCartha, both of Greenville; a granddaughter, Erica Jensen; and two grandsons, Michael Jensen and Preston Worley.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Houston and Barbara Pugh; and a son, Laron Worley.

Phillip Anderson

Phillip Anderson, 63, of Andalusia, died Friday, August 9, 2002, at his residence. Funeral services were handled by Foreman Funeral Home.
