Katie Jones

Katie Jones, age 66 of the Straughn community died Tuesday, September 3, 2002 at her residence.

Funeral services were held 2 p.m. Friday at Keahey Funeral Home with Rev. Barry Holcomb officiating. Burial followed in the Mt. Zion Church Cemetery. Special music was provided by the family.

Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Phyllis and Shelton Mangum of

Montgomery; mother, Elva Johnson of Andalusia; grandchildren, Joshua Wren, Jeremy Wren, Brian (Deena) Wren; a sister, Erma Jewel Hart of Denton, Texas; aunt and uncle, Corda and Johnny Johnson of Dallas.

Mrs. Jones was preceeded in death by her husband, James Thomas "Tommy" Jones earlier this year.

Pallbearers were Ed Byers, Gene Baisden, Leotis Garrett, Johnnie Davis, Michael Chaney and Bill Tillman.

Irene Norris Wiggins

Irene Norris Wiggins, 92, died Sunday, August 8, 2002 in an Opp hospital.

Funeral arrangements are incomplete and will be announced by Foreman Funeral Home.

Karen Lee Barrow Jones

Karen Lee Barrow Jones, 42, of Wing died suddenly Monday, September 2, 2002. She was a native of Lawton, Okla. and a life long resident of Wing. Jones was of the Assembly of God faith and employed by Pleasant Home School.

Survivors include her mother, Dorothy Jean Mills of Jay, Fla.; two sons, Chris Jones of Wing, Josh (Marsha) Jones of Fort Walton Beach, Fla.; two daughters, April Jones of Wing, Ashley Jones of Wing; four brothers, Mike Mills of Pace, Fla., Steve Barlow of Columbus, Miss., Sherwin Barlow of Jay, Fla.; Robert Barlow of Tuscaloosa; two sisters, Kay Barlow of Molino, Fla. and Lori Barlow of Castleberry.

Funeral services were held for Thursday, Sept. 5, 2002 at 11a.m. at Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home with Rev. James O. Baker officiating. Interment will follow in Sellersville Cemetery, Sellersville, Fla. with Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home of Brewton directing.
