Lady Bobcats sweep Samson

Opp students are out of school this week, but that did not stop the Lady Bobcats from dismissing the visiting Samson Lady Tigers in volleyball action on Monday.
The Lady Bobcats fell behind 8-0 in the first game of the varsity match only to rally for a 15-13 win.
Tiffany Anderson capped off the comeback serving for the final four points of the game. She won game-point on an ace down the sideline.
In the second game, Opp fell behind 4-2 before mounting a comeback.
The Lady Bobcats reeled off 10 consecutive points for a 10-4 lead before Samson was able to score again.
Opp went on to record a 15-9 victory to clinch the match.
Kimberly Coxwell closed out the match serving for the final three points. Ingrid Patterson and Ashley Mock each served for three consecutive points at stretches in the second game. Patterson served for a total of five points in the second game.
In the junior varsity match, Opp lost the first game by a score of 10-15.
The JV Lady Bobcats answered with a 15-5 win in game two and a 15-0 romp in game three.
Jessica Wood powered the JV Lady Bobcats in the third game serving for five points. She and Courtney Grissett each had three kills in the game.
Opp returns to action Oct. 5 in the Linda Rogers Memorial Tournament in Ozark.
