AHS Bulldogs fall to EJHS

A late start did not seem to hamper to Enterprise Junior High School Wildcats last night against the home-standing Andalusia High School 9th-grade Bulldogs.

The Wildcats built a 33-0 lead and held on for a 33-6 win.

The Wildcats went on top 6-0 with 4:19 left to play in the opening quarter on a 28-yard touchdown run. The PAT attempt was wide right, but the Wildcats were on top 6-0.

Enterprise quarterback Robert Brooks added to the Wildcats' lead with 5:50 remaining in the second quarter when he scored on a three-yard run. The two-point attempt was good and the Wildcats held a 14-0 edge.

Brooks tacked on another touchdown with 1:42 remining in the opening half on a 70-yard run to paydirt. The PAT attempt was no good, but the Wildcats held a 20-0 lead.

In the second half, the Wildcats got a touchdown run from Brooks and an extra point for a 27-0 lead.

Ryan Engram added a score late in the third quarter for the Wildcats. He scored with 1:49 remaining in the third period for a 33-0 lead. The extra-point attempt was no good.

Andalusia's lone touchdown came late in the game came on a pass by Dustin Tyer to Tom Hines. The two-point attempt was good when running back D'Andra Lee powered his way into the end zone.

The Wildcats, however, managed to hold on for a 33-8 win.
