Lynda F. Latimer

Miss Lynda F. Latimer, 64, and a resident of Gulfport, died Tuesday, October 22, 2002 in Gulfport, Miss.

Miss Latimer, a native of Gulfport and a former resident of Andalusia, returned to reside in Gulfport three years ago. She graduated from Andalusia High School and Mississippi State College for Women at Columbus, where she was a member of the Silhouette Social Club and the Black List. Miss Latimer taught school at Andalusia High School and was on the staff at Lurleen B. Wallace Community College.

Miss Latimer was proceded in death by her parents, Ray A. and Geneva Estes Latimer; and her grandparents, William Edwin and Lucy Estes, and J. T. and Julia Latimer. She is survived by numerous cousins.

A graveside service will be conducted at 10 a.m. Saturday, October 26, in Evergreen Cemetery in Gulfport.

John Hill West

John Hill West, 85, a resident of Indian Shores, Fla. and long time resident of Andalusia, died Wednesday, October 23, 2002 in Woodside Hospice House, Tampa, Fla.

He is survived by his survived by his wife, Sherrod; and three grandchildren, John H. West III, Stephanie and Susanna West.

Funeral services will be held Sunday, October 27, 2002 from Andalusia First United Methodist Church at 2 p.m. with burial following at Andalusia Memorial Cemetery. Visitation will be held at Foreman Funeral Home on Saturday, October 26, 2002 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.
