AMS splits with CHMS

A trip to Troy resulted in wins for two of the basketball teams from Andalusia Middle School on Monday.

The Lady Bulldogs and the 7th-grade Bulldogs earned victories against the Trojans from Charles Henderson Middle School.

The Trojans, however, won the 8th-grade boys' game.

Andalusia won the 7th-grade boys' game by a final score of 38-27 after going on top 15-13 in the first half.

Michael Berry was the leading scorer for Andalusia with 14 points. Ibrahim John and Bilyon Jones added six points each. Bradley Savage had five points and Terrell Curry hit for four. Martin Watson and Durrell Wright had two points each.

In the girls' game, the Lady Bulldogs earned a 12-point victory by a final score of 39-27.

Chelsea Carlson had 11 points and Caitlin Edmondson had 10. Taneshia Wytch added nine and Jamila Couch had six. Whitney Leslie had three points.

In the 8th-grade boys' game, the Trojans earned a 41-26 win.

Bryan Peoples was the leading scorer for Andalusia with eight points.

Zack Jones had five. Justin Dewrell and Deandre Wright had four each. Justin Sims had three points and Matt Mellown had two.
