Sixteen teams are competing in a two-tier softball tournament at the Andalusia Sports Complex this weekend.

The tournament started Saturday evening with nine games scheduled. The tournament resumes at 8 a.m. today.

Several teams from Covington County are participating in the tournament, including Pleasant Home, Straughn, Florala and Andalusia.

Other teams participating in the tournament are Goshen, Kinston, Elba, Highland Home, New Brockton, Flomaton, Samson, Excel, Pike County, Greenville, Charles Henderson, Dothan, Northview, T.R. Miller, Escambia County and Eufaula.

Championship games are slated for 8 p.m. and 9:30 p.m.
