Straughn wins two against Red Level

In a battle of Tigers, the Straughn Tigers earned two wins against the Red Level Tigers last Thursday in high school baseball action.
The Straughn Tigers won the first game by a final score of 7-6.
Chad Bracewell started the game on the mound and went three innings. He scored one run on three hits and one walk.
Justin Bracewell came in to pitch next and gave up one run on one hit and one walks. He struck out two.
Chris Watts also pitched in the game and gave up four runs on four hits. Justin Clark pitched late in the game and got the save, allowing just one hit.
Clark also did some damage with the bat going 2-for-4 with three runs scored. Bart Beam was 2-for-4 at the plate in the first game and had two RBIs.
Daniel Turner went 1-for-2 in the game with two runs scored and two RBIs. He had a home run in the win. Watts also went 1-for-2 in the first game.
Jamie Straughn was 1-for-4 in the game with two runs scored.
In the second game, Straughn earned a 10-7 win.
Jared Armstrong was the winning pitcher, going five innings and allowing three runs on four hits and two walks. He struck out three.
Heath Holmes and Dustin Worley also pitched in the game.
Hunter Norris and Worley were the leading batters in the second game. Norris was 2-for-4 with one run scored and one RBI. Worley was 2-for-3 with one run scored and two RBIs.
The win improves Straughn's record to 12-1 on the season.
The Straughn Tigers return to the diamond today for a doubleheader against Pleasant Home. The games are slated to be played at Straughn with the first pitch set for 3 p.m.
