The Pleasant Home and Red Level softball teams both entered yesterday's game against each other at the Red Level High School softball field coming off wins against the Florala Lady Wildcats.

Red Level clawed out a 13-1 win against Florala in their last game on March 11.

Pleasant Home topped the Lady Wildcats 20-0 in three innings on Monday.

The Lady Eagles got runs from Beth Cox, Brittney Blount, Britni Ballard, Kayla Wiggins, Amy Jacobs, Marcie Mullen, Kimberly Jacobs, Faith Gunter, Tiffany Wilson and Ashley Jones in the win against Florala.

Tiffany Wilson led the charge scoring three runs in the victory.

The Lady Eagles took an early lead against the Red Level Lady Tigers yesterday scoring 10 runs in the top of the first inning.

Red Level answered with one run in the bottom of the inning when Brittany Watson hit a solo home run.

Red Level scored another run in the bottom of the second inning to make the score 10-2.

Pleasant Home added four runs to the lead in the top of the fourth inning for a 14-2 edge.

Victoria Ferrell hit a solo home run in the bottom of the inning for Red Level to make the score 14-3.

The Lady Eagles added five runs in the top of the fifth and held on for a 19-3 win in five innings.

The Pleasant Home offense came from several different players.

Beth Cox, Britni Ballard, Faith Gunter, Jessica Johns and Carly Lundy scored two runs each in the win.

Brittney Blount, Kayla Wiggins, Amy Jacobs, Marcie Mullen, Kimberly Jacobs, Salynn Mullen, Tiffany Wilson and Hannah Kelley each scored one run for the Lady Eagles in the win.

The win improves the Lady Eagles' record to 6-2 on the season.

The Red Level Lady Tigers return to the diamond on Thursday when they face the Straughn Lady Tigers at 4 p.m. in Straughn.

The Pleasant Home Lady Eagles soar back into action when they face the Andalusia Bulldogs on Friday at the softball complex.

The action is slated to begin at 4 p.m. with a junior varsity game followed by a varsity game.
