Jean Richardson Paul

Jean Richardson Paul, 88, of Elba, died Wednesday at Elba General Hospital. Funeral services were held at the First Baptist Church of Elba on Friday, March 21, 2003 at 11 a.m. with Rev. Mart Gray officiating. Burial followed in Evergreen Cemetery of Elba.

Mrs. Paul was born April 1, 1914 in Dadeville, and reared in Notasulga. Her parents were H. Harvey Richardson and Willie A. Richardson. She was a graduate of Montevallo College and taught home economics and elementary education in Elba until her retirement. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Elba for more than 60 years, a charter member of the Coffee County Delta Kappa Gamma educational honorary society, and a past member and officer of numerous professional, church, and civic organizations. Mrs. Paul was very active in alumni work for the University of Alabama, which her husband served as trustee for more than 30 years and also served as Circuit Judge of Coffee and Pike counties.

Survivors include daughter, Jeanice Kirkland of Andalusia; son-in-law, Jimmy Kirkland of Andalusia; son, Brice R. Paul of Enterprise; daughter-in-law, Lynda Paul of Enterprise; sister, Mary Briant of Marietta, Ga., sister, Nina Kennedy of Columbus, Ga.; brother, Harold Richardson of Charlotte, NC; grandson, Bryan Paul of Tuscaloosa; granddaughter, Kimberly Back of Gadsden; grandson-in-law, Kent Back of Gadsden, AL; great grandson, Allen Back of Gadsden; great granddaughter, Kirkland Back of Gadsden.

Mrs. Paul was preceded in death by her husband, Eris F. Paul; mother, Willie Richardson; father, Henry Harvey Richardson; granddaughter, Susan Kirkland; sister, Alma Matt; brother, Olin Richardson.

William C. McGhee

William C. McGhee, 75, of Conshohocken, Penn. died Friday, March 21, 2003 at his residence. He had lived in Conshohocken for the last 36 years, formerly of Norristown, Penn. and Dozier, where he was born and raised. After retiring, he worked at several main homes as a grounds keeper. He was an avid gardener, sports fan and pool shooter.

Funeral mass for William C. McGhee was held Tuesday, March 25, 2003 at 10 a.m. from the St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church with Msgr. Robert J. Grudowski officiating. Graveside will be held at 11:30 a.m. Thursday, March 27, 2003 at Dozier Cemetery with Foreman Funeral Home directing and Rev. Alan Cassady officiating.

Mr. William C. McGhee is survived by his wife, Barbara McGhee of Conshohocken, Penn.; daughter, Janice Landy of Norristown, Penn.; brother, Waverly Kent McGhee of Pensacola, Fla.; sister, Ann Wilcox of Woodland, Calif.; several nieces and nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews.

Memorial Contributions may be made in his memory to Bells of St. Mary's Church, 140 West Hector Street, Conshohocken, Penn., 19428.

Endia Jeter

Endia Jeter, 62, of Andalusia, died March 24, 2003 in an Andalusia hospital.

Funeral services were held at 3 p.m. Wednesday, March 26, 2003 at Oak Grove Baptist Church.

Survivors include her husband, W.C. "Buddy" Jeter, of Andalusia; a daughter and son in law, Brenda Sue and Martin McGinnis of Andalusia; four sisters, Betty Terry of Red Level, Roxie Bracewell of Gantt, Loretta Manning of Andalusia and Mary Lou Jackson of Dozier; two brothers, Marvin Williamson of Canton, Miss. and Shorty Williamson of Gantt; grandson, Brandon Jeter of Andalusia.

She was preceded in death by her mother and father, Florence and Bealie Williamson and her son, Michael Jeter.

J.D. Driver

J.D. Driver, 88, of Dozier died Saturday, March 22, 2003 at his residence.

Funeral services were held 11 a.m. Monday, March 24, 2003 at Good News Baptist Chapel with Rev. Jay Driver and Rev. Bob Kendrick. Special music was provided by John and Traci Bell. Burial will follow in Good News Chapel Cemetery.

Survivors include his wife, Minnie Lee Driver of Dozier; one son and daughter-in-law, Ronnie and Janice Driver of Dozier; two daughters and sons-in-law, Pam and Jimmy Miller, Travelus Rest, S.C.; Rhonda Driver of Dozier; 12 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers include Sterling Driver, Trevor Driver, Trenton Driver, Joshua Driver, Shannon Driver, Jimmy Miller.
