Janice S. Mozley

Janice Merrye Schreve Mozley, 73, of Raleigh, N.C, the wife of the late James Hammond III, died Saturday, April 12, 2003, at the Wake Medical Center in Raleigh.

She is survived by daughters, Kathy A. Mozely and Mrs. John T. (Jenny) Kelton of Raleigh; grandchildren, James A. McMillian IV, Elizabeth and Gene Beam, Samuel T. Kelton and James V. Kelton.

Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday in the Old Stone Church Cemetery in Pendleton, S.C.

Seneca Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.

Myra Quinn Benton

Myra Quinn Benton, 88, of Gantt, died Thursday, April 10, 2003 in a Dothan hospital.

Funeral services were held Saturday, April 12, 2003, at 11 a.m. at the Foreman Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Wayne Sharpe and Rev. Leonard Hill officiating. Burial followed in Good Hope Cemetery.

Survivors include one daughter, Judy Humphreys of Marietta, Ga.; one grandson, Trey Humphreys, one sister and brother-in-law, Annie Jo and Sanders Morrison of Mobile.

Mrs. Benton was a retired school teacher with the Covington County School System having taught more than 40 years in the system. She was also a member of the Gantt Baptist Church.

Pallbearers were Chris Hildreth, Jack Morrison, Jamie Hildreth, Keith Morrison, Richard Morrison and Carey Hinson.

Caudy Faye Patterson

Caudy Faye Patterson, 76, of Andalusia, died Friday, April 11, 2003 in a Wetumpka nursing facility.

Funeral services were held Sunday, April 13, 2003 at 2 p.m. at the Foreman Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Gary Miller officiating. Burial followed in Fairmount Cemetery.

Survivors include one daughter and son-in-law, Hazel and Billy Owens of Wetumpka; two grandchildren, William Christopher Owens of Selma and Nicole Owens Roberts of Wetumpka; one great grandchild, Briana Roberts; two brothers, Curtis Williams of Red Level and Archie Williams of Andalusia; two sisters, Loyette Stephens of Andalusia; and Mary Lou Cowan of Atlanta.

Mrs. Patterson was a retired school cafeteria supervisor and member of Southside Baptist Church.

Pallbearers were Wayne Posey, John Williams, A.C. Godwin, Mack Patterson, Eugene Ammons and Mixon Sanders.

Hiram Clyde Turner

Hiram Clyde Turner, 80, of Andalusia died Sunday, April 13, 2003 at his residence.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, April 16, 2003 at 11 a.m. at the Foreman Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in the Hopewell Cemetery.

Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, Ray and Loretta Turner of Lowndesboro, Jerry and Carolyn Turner of Prattville; five grandchildren, Genia (Andy) Brasington, Alicia Turner, Tim (Tammy) Turner, Heather (Mike) Lewis, Jason Turner; five great-grandchildren, Austin Brasington, Brittany Brasington, Hallie Turner, Hunter Turner, Tyler Lewis; one sister, Henritta Jones of Andalusia;a number of nieces and nephews.

Mr. Turner was a retired mechanic with Merrill Motors with 42 years of services.

Visitation will be at 6 p.m. Tuesday at Foreman Funeral Home.

Joe Trawick

Joe Trawick, 70, of Andalusia, died Monday, April 14, 2003 in a Pensacola hospital.

Funeral services are incomplete and will be announced by Foreman Funeral Home.
