The Red Level Tigers defeated the Flomaton Hurricanes for the third time in three tries Saturday night to clinch the Class 2A, Area 2 Tournament Championship.

The Tigers took a 22-17 lead in the first quarter en route to an 80-61 win.

Frank Tolbert paced the Tigers on offense with 41 points. Larry Hudson added 14 points. Will McInvale scored 12 points.

Russell Rigdon added 6 points. Tim Ryce scored 3 points. Malcolm Lawson and Jermaine Jackson scored 2 points each.

The win sends the Tigers into the Alabama High School Athletic Association State Playoffs.

Red Level will host a sub-regional game Friday. The Tigers will play McIntosh at 7 p.m.
