AHS tops Daleville

Windy conditions and hard greens made it difficult, but the Andalusia High School golf team overcame the rough conditions to shoot a team score of 315 for a win against the visiting Daleville Warhawks on Thursday.
The Warhawks recorded a team score of 376 at Evans Barnes Golf Course on the campus of LBW Community College.
Mark Chambers was the low medalists and the leader for the Bulldogs with a round of 72.
Freshman Rodger Caffey was two strokes back with a
round of 74 and finished the day as the second lowest medalist.
Michael Frye shot an 80 on Thursday and was the third lowest medalist.
Patrick Jones ended the day with a round of 89 and was the fourth golfer whose score was used for the team score.
David Kyle's round of 93 did not factor into the Bulldogs' team score.
Andalusia's Cole Weant, playing as an individual, shot an 86 on Thursday. James Hugh Kyzar completed his trek around the course with a round of 89.
The Bulldogs return to action on Tuesday when they travel to Daphne for the sectional tournament. The sectional tournament will be played at Timber Creek.
