Sara Brown Diaz

Sara Brown Diaz, 53, of Andalusia, died Saturday, April 26, 2003, in a Dothan hospital.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, April 29 at 11 a.m. at Foreman Funeral Home with Rev. Earl Currenton and Rev. Alan Pelham officiating. Burial followed at Andalusia Memorial Cemetery.

Survivors include her mother, Annie Brown of Andalusia; three sisters, Jeanette Stirewalt of San Antonio, Texas, Joyce Pelham of Tampa, Fla, and Jackie Covington; a brother, Lincoln Daniel Brown and wife, Wyrnel, both of Andalusia; a sister-in-law, Earlene Brown of Eufaula; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her father, Rev. Lincoln Brown and a brother, Ben R. Brown.

Pallbearers include Stanford Peacock, Lincoln Daniel Brown, Gordon Vickers, Alan Cotton, Allen Pelham and Joe Wagner.

Charles Shakespear

Charles Shakespear, 61, of Andalusia died April 22, 2003.

Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. Saturday, April 26, 2003 at the Grace Chapel Baptist Church with Rev. Tom Curry officiating.

He was born to the late Amos Sr. and Sibbie Blue Shakespear on Feb. 7, 1942. Also preceding him in death was a brother, Amos Shakespear, Jr. Charles always attended Grace Chapel Baptist Church, and in 1993 he became and remained a faithful member until his death.

Survivors include three brothers, Willie (Lena) Shakespear, John H. Shakespear of Andalusia; Howard (Sandy) Shakespear of Decatur, Ill; three sisters, Louise Shakespear, Shirlean (Joseph) Robinson of Andalusia and Betty (Issac) Patton of Huntsville; one uncle, Elvin Middleton; five aunts, Myrtle Johnson, Ruth M. Shakespear, Minnie Ola Shakespear, Virginia Shakespear, Essie Shakespear of Andalusia; a host of nieces and nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews, relatives and friends.

Grace Turner Houston

Grace Turner Houston, 98, of River Falls died Tuesday, April 29, 2003 in a local nursing facility.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, May 3, 2003 at Foreman Funeral Home. Burial will follow the service at River Falls Cemetery.

She is survived by one son, Shannon Houston of River Falls; two daughters, Billie Doska Fitzner of Belding, Mich.; Shelia Houston Head of River Falls; seven grandchildren, William Harold Fitzner Jr. of Holland, Mich.; Marilyn Powell of Opp of Opp, Carolyn Wills of Marietta, Ga., Shelley Ossenfort of Connecticut, Lee Head Jr. of Gantt, Lindsay Ingram of Buck Creek and Jeanne Fitzner; 14 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.

Visitation will be Friday after 6 p.m. at Foreman Funeral Home.
