James Edward Elmore

James Edward Elmore, 75, of the Judson community, died Sunday, May 11, 2003 in a Dothan hospital.

A funeral was held Tuesday, May 13, 2003 at 10 a.m. at Foreman Funeral Home with Rev. Hank Roberts officiating with special music by Joyce Sightler, George Covin and Shirley Phillips. Burial followed in Judson Cemetery with Foreman Funeral Home directing.

Survivors include his wife, Janice Elmore; sons and daughter-in-law, David Alan and Connie Elmore and James Adam Elmore; daughters and sons-in-law, Suzanne and Greg Craft of Andalusia; and Diane and Larry Faxon of Pace, Fla.; grandchildren Lori, Joseph, Millisa, and Stephanie; brothers Wayne Elmore; Jacob Elmore; Ray Elmore; Harold Elmore and Ronald Elmore, all of Andalusia; sisters Jean Powell of Detroit; Faye Sightler; Barbara Bradley; Gloria Cannon; and Glinda Robbins, all of Andalusia; Charlotte Smith of Wing; and Elaine Bulger of Florala. He was preceded in death by six brothers and sisters; Lucille Sightler, Derrell Elmore, Tolbert Elmore, J.C. Elmore, Annie Jym Brogden and Nell Trawick.

Pallbearers were Gary Bradley, Jason Elmore, Clay Elmore, Donald Elmore, Royce Sightler and Heath Bulger.

Robert Cleveland Blackburn

Robert Cleveland Blackburn, 69, of Andalusia died Tuesday, May 13, 2003 in an Andalusia hospital.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m., Thursday, May 15, 2003 at Keahey Funeral Home with Terry Stewart and David Paher officiating. Special music was provided by the Cedar Grove Church of Christ Choir. Burial followed in the Stone Lake Gardens Cemetery.

Survivors include son and daughter-in-law, Bobby and Nancy Blackburn of Andalusia; daughters and sons-in-law, Judy and Alan Bracewell of Andalusia, Janice and James Barron of Andalusia and Virginia Lee Hall of Andalusia; brothers, Paul of Blackburn, Miss., David Blackburn of Highland Home; sisters, Ruby Thornton of Pike County, Frances Rhodes of Pike County; nine grandchildren.

Pallbearers included James Barron, Ron Adams, Chad Bracewell, J.W. Pettie, Thomas Pettie, and Alan Bracewell.
