Mike Benbow

Mike Benbow, 42, of Andalusia, died Sunday, May 18, 2003, at his residence.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, May 21 at 10 a.m. at Keahey Funeral Home Chapel. Visitation will be Tuesday from 6-8 p.m.

Survivors include a son, Michael Lee Benbow Jr.; a daughter, Nelda Denise Benbow, both of Jacksonville, Fla.; three brothers, Lonnie Frank Benbow, David L. Benbow, both of Andalusia, and Ronald J. Benbow of New Haven, Conn.; and a sister, Dot Rodgers of Andalusia.

Flowers will be accepted.

Terrell McLendon

Terrell McLendon, 67, of the Carolina community, died Thursday, May 15, 2003, in an Andalusia hospital.

Funeral services were held Sunday, May 18 at 3 p.m. at Keahey Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Billy Boles and Rev. Jeff Taylor officiating. Special music provided by Barbara Blackwell and Rebecca Wiggins accompanied by pianist, Gary Padgett. Burial followed in the Carolina Baptist Church Cemetery.

Survivors include his wife, Sara Baker McLendon of Andalusia; a daughter, Cathy Tomlin of Alexander City; a son, Robert Terry McLendon; two step-sons, Randy Baker and Kenneth Allen Baker, all of Andalusia; two sisters, Janie Johnston of Montgomery and Sara Lanier of Castleberry; a brother, Bob McLendon of Baker, Fla.; and eight grandchildren.

Pallbearers were Glenn Walters, Steve Lawson, Grady Owens, Marion Wilhite, Ricky Jones and Steve Frazier. Honorary pallbearers were the Adult Mens Class of Carolina Baptist Church.

Jessie Mae Brooks

Jessie Mae Brooks, 95, of Andalusia died Saturday, May 17, 2003 in an Andalusia hospital.

Funeral services were held Monday, May 19, 2003 at 2 p.m. at the Hopewell Baptist Church with Rev. Barry Wilkinson officiating. Burial followed in Hopewell Cemetery with Foreman Funeral Home directing.

Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Max and Gladys Brooks of Andalusia; grandchildren, Joyce (Marcus) Godwin of Andaluisa, Dianne (John) Richardson of Dade City, Fla., Robert (Marjorie) Brooks of Birmingham and Doyle Brooks of Pace, Fla.; six great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers were Glen Walters, Glenn Bush, D.C. Lambert, Pat Patteson, Jack Sansom and Roy Wiggins.
