Little League teams produce exciting games

Little League baseball games at Johnson Park continue. In recent games, the Gators recorded two wins.

The Gators topped the Yankees by a final score of 18-9 with C.P. Rogers and J.P. Johnson each scoring four runs in the win.

The Gators also recorded a big win against the Cubs. The Gators scored 15 runs to the Cubs' two for the win. Hughes scored three runs for the Gators in the win.

The Mariners also recorded a win against the Cubs. The M's scored 17 runs to edge out the Cubs by a final score of 17-16. Justin paced the Gators with four runs in the game.

The Angels recorded a 9-7 win against the Dodgers in a recent game. The Triple M's (Morrison, McCord and Moore) scored two runs each for the Angels in the victory.

In Covington County Little League action, the A's edged the Eagles in a tight and well-played contest. Turner scored the lone run of the game after reaching base on an infield single.

In other games, the Marlins got two wins. The Marlins reeled in the Dodgers for a 10-4 win. Yelverton and Bulger scored two runs each in the win.

The Marlins swam past the Rockies for another win. Haag, Langford and Yelverton each scored two runs in the win.

The Mariners did not have a good week dropping two games in 9- and 10-year-old league action.

The Brewers topped the Mariners by a final score of 12-2. Samuel scored three runs in the win. Lunsford, Moore and Gillman each scored two runs in the win.

The Padres also recorded a win against the Mariners. The Padres outscored the Mariners by a final score of 14-11 with Nolen scoring four runs in the win.
