Pirates undefeated last two weeks

Andalusia Babe Ruth action continues at Johnson Park with exciting games. Teams continue to strive for top honors in the league as the regular season progresses.

In the last two weeks, the Devil Rays earned a win against the Indians by a final score of 6-2. Michael Berry and Myles Hollingsworth each scored two runs in the win.

In another game, the Pirates clipped the Cardinals 13-7. The Cards only managed five hits in the game with 10 strikeouts.

The Devil Rays followed the Pirates lead with a 17-5 victory against the Cardinals. William Alverson scored four runs and Michael Berry scored three times in the win.

The Indians climbed past the Rockies on May 13 by a final score of 5-1 as Jordan Maynor pitched a one-hitter.

The Pirates edges past the Devil Rays on May 16 by a final score of 3-2. The Pirates got two runs in the sixth inning when Cory Smith and Kevin Peek scored to take a one-run lead. The Pirates held on for the win.

The Rockies rocked the Cardinals for seven runs and edged out a win by a final score of 7-4. Johnny Jernigan scored two runs in the win for the Rockies.

This past Monday, the Pirates held off the Rockies for a 5-4 win. Cory Smith scored the winning run in the seventh inning. Josh Johnson pitched three innings of relief and got the win with two strikeouts in the bottom of the seventh inning.

The Indians recorded a 7-3 win against the Cardinals on Monday. McKenzie Curry and Jake Brown each scored two runs in the win.
