Andalusia Police need the public's help in finding a woman missing since possibly June 2. Vannie L. Prestwood, 57, of Andalusia, was discovered missing Tuesday, with no signs of foul play indicated.

"Everything was in order at her house," said Lt. Jerry Parker of the Andalusia Police Department. "She is described as 5-foot-2-inches, weighing 104 pounds, with blue eyes and blonde hair. She has a light complexion, and was last seen wearing flowered shorts with a striped shirt, walking towards the West By-pass, possibly in the direction of Wal-Mart."

Parker also said Prestwood is on medication, and apparently take any with her at her disappearence.

"Ms. Prestwood is on medication for depression and a chemical imbalance," he said. "It doesn't appear that she carried any of it with her, so as far as we know, she hasn't had her medication since she disappeared."

Parker urged citizens who might have seen Prestwood, or who might have any information regarding her disapperance to call the Andalusia Police Department.

"If anyone has any information, please call the police department at 222-1155," he said. "There are people worried about her and want to find her."
