Cole Sightler, Justin Bracewell and Tra Curry combined their pitching efforts for the American Legion Post 80 squad to no-hit visiting Slocomb in baseball action Thursday at the Andalusia High School baseball field.

While the Slocomb batters struggled, the Post 80 hitters smashed the ball.

Sightler pitched the first two innings for Post 80 and allowed one run on no hits and three walks. He struck out three.

Mathews used his speed to score his second run of the game, the fifth of the game for Post 80, in the bottom of the second. He reached on an error by the catcher after striking out, stole second, moved to third on a passed ball and scored on another passed ball.

Bracewell went to the mound in the top of the third for Post 80 and held Slocomb allowing just one walk in two innings of work while striking out three.

Post 80 added six runs in the bottom of the third inning when Scotty McCraney, Matthew Mitchell, Michael Dutton, Mathews, Arrington, Wilson and Chavers each scored.

The Post 80 bats remained hot in the bottom of the fourth when three more runs scored. Dutton, Brad Sanders and Arrington each scored. Michael Eldridge and Andrew Bryan had key hits in the inning.
