Splish, splash - the Stingrays attack.

In the second swim meet of the 2003 summer season, the Andalusia Stingrays sank the visiting Eufaula Waverunners by a combined score of 2,483 to 1,131 at Cooper Pool on Monday. The Stingrays' boys team earned a 1,149 to 342 point win. The Stingrays' girls team earned a 1,334 to 789 victory.

8-AND-UNDER

Christopher Smith earned a first-place finish in the 100-yard individual medley

with a time of 2:20.74 against Eufaula. He also had a second-place finish in the 25-yard breaststroke and a fourth-place finish in the 50-yard freestyle.

Dalton Watson had a first-place finish in the 25-yard butterfly with Ian Peek in second. Watson also had a second-place finish in the 25-yard freestyle and a third-place finish in the 25-yard backstroke.

Chris Riley was second in the 25-yard backstroke.

Jacob Peek, Ben Garner and Noah Rider also had top-seven finishes for the Stingrays in individual events.

In the relays, the Stingrays earned two second-place finishes thanks to the teamwork of Jacob Peek, Chris Riley, Christopher Smith and Dalton Watson.

The girls representing the Stingrays in the 25-yard breaststroke swept the top five spots with Emma Garner leading the way. Meredith Grace Kerr finished in second followed by Haley Weaver, Kennedy Thompson and Elisabeth Christensen.

Emma Garner also had the best finish for the Stingrays in the 100-yard individual medley earning a second-place ribbon with a time of 2:10.39. She was also second in the 25-yard butterfly.

Meredith Grace Kerr paced the Stingrays in the 25-yard freestyle with a first-place finish. Kennedy Thomspon was second followed by Haley Weaver in third and Elisabeth Christensen in fifth.

Meredith Grace Kerr finished first in the 25-yard backstroke with Kennedy Thompson in second and Haley Weaver in third. Elisabeth Christensen was fifth.

The girls finished first in both the 100-yard medley relay and the 100-yard freestyle relay.

9- AND 10-YEAR-OLD

Haley Moody paced the girls with a fourth-place finish in the 100-yard individual medley along with second-place finishes in the 50-yard breaststroke and 50-yard freestyle. Lauren Beasley and Taylor Donaldson also had top-four finishes in the breaststroke and freestyle events.

Lauren Beasley also had the best finish in the 50-yard butterfly. She finished second. Taylor Donaldson had the best finish in the 50-yard backstroke coming home in second.

The boys swept the top five spots in the 50-yard breaststroke and 50-yard freestyle events after Tom Cook won the 100-yard individual medley. In the breaststroke, Stinson Thompson paced the Stingrays with a first-place finish followed by Tom Cook, Luke Rider, Jordan Theus and Andrew Spry. Tom Cook won the freestyle followed by Jordan Theus, Stinson Thompson, Luke Rider and Andrew Spry.

The Stingrays also swept the 50-yard backstroke event. Stinson Thompson won followed by Jordan Theus and Andrew Spry.

Luke Rider won the 50-yard butterfly for the Stingrays.

In the relays, the boys and girls both earned first-place honors in the medley relay. The boys also won the 200-yard freestyle relay.

11- AND 12-YEAR-OLD

Andrew Dunson won the 100-yard individual medley for Eufaula and the 50-yard breaststroke. The Stingrays, however, finished second and third in the 50-yard breaststroke thanks to James Mo and Robbie Noland.

The Stingrays also swept the 50-yard freestyle with Ethan Cook winning followed by James Mo and Robbie Noland. James Mo also finished second in the 50-yard butterfly.

Ethan Cook also earned first-place finishes in the 50-yard backstroke and 100-yard freestyle. Robbie Noland was second in the backstroke.

The girls from Andalusia earned points from Christina Christensen's fourth-place finish in the 100-yard medley relay.

Addie Garner won the 50-yard breaststroke with Starla Jones in third followed by Becca Cory, Melissa Riley and Jessica Smith.

Starla Jones won the 50-yard freestyle with Lindsey Weaver in second. Becca Cory, Addie Garner, Christina Christensen, Shelby Corbell, Sara Beasley, Melissa Riley, Jessica Smith and Amber Thomas also placed.

Sara Beasley was second in the 50-yard butterfly with Melissa Riley in third for the Stingrays.

Lindsey Weaver was second in the 50-yard backstroke followed by Addie Garner, Becca Cory and Sara Beasley. Shelby Corbell, Jessica Smith and Amber Thomas also placed.

Starla Jones was second in the 100-yard freestyle and Christina Christensen finished in fourth.

The girls also had second- and third-place finishes in the 200-yard freestyle relay and the 200-yard medley relay.

13- AND 14-YEAR-OLD

The Stingrays swept the 50-yard breaststroke as Chris Atkins won with John Christensen and Nav Tandon close behind. The Andalusia boys also swept the 50-yard freestyle with Nav Tandon earning first-place honors followed by Tyler Moody, Chris Atkins and John Christensen. Tyler Moody also earned first-place honors in the 50-yard butterfly and 100-yard freestyle. John Christensen was second in the 100-yard freestyle event.

The boys relay team won the 200-yard freestyle relay.

The girls had Morgan Watson, Kristin Hudson and Heather Henderson finish in second, third and fourth in the 50-yard breaststroke. Morgan Watson also finished third in the 50-yard freestyle with Nicole Couch, Caitlin Rider, Kristin Hudson and Dana Gunter also placing.

In the 50-yard butterfly, Caitlin Rider was second followed by fellow Stingrays Nicole Couch and Dana Gunter.

Morgan Watson won the 50-yard backstroke followed by Dana Gunter.

The girls relay team was second in the 200-yard medley relay. The Stingrays regrouped and won the 200-yard freestyle relay.

15- TO 18-YEAR-OLD

Lane Rider won the 50-yard backstroke event. Justin Moody won the 50-yard butterfly for the Stingrays. He also won the 50-yard freestyle and with Lane Rider in second. Justin Moody also won the 100-yard freestyle event.

Alicia Brooks won the 50-yard breaststroke for the Stingrays with Brandie Ammons in second. Brandie Ammons also won the 50-yard freestyle event.

The Stingrays' next meet is scheduled for Monday, June 23 when the Troy Tiger Sharks visit Cooper Pool. The meet is slated to begin at 11 a.m.
