County selects Babe Ruth All-Stars

Stars are shining on Covington County and they have aluminum bats.

The Covington County Babe Ruth All-Star teams have been announced.

The 13-year-old Babe Ruth All-Stars who will represent Covington County are Leonard Palmer, Kyle Marlow, Tyler Patterson, Ross Parker, Josh Dozier, Seth Kinsaul, Ryne Taylor, Garrett Roland, T.J. Fleming, Michael Patterson, Robbie Weaver, Tanner Carter, Sidney McKathan, Cody Holmes and Tyler Baker.

The 15-member team will be coached by Gilbert Weaver, Larry Craig and Greg Parker.

The 14-year-old Covington County Babe Ruth All-Stars are Andrew Odom, Taylor Wright, Charlie Gordon, Devin Maloy, Andrew O'Ferrell, Rhett Dewrell, Kevin Meeks, Josh Douglas, Sam Bush, Taylor Benton, Dusty McDonnell, Josh Pettus, Justin Little, Slade Wicker and Josh Bulger.

The 14-year-old team will be coached by Marvin Odom and Pete Dewrell.

The members of the 15-year-old Babe Ruth All-Stars are Steven Rabren, Zach Gladwell, Josh O'Ferrell, Casey Hardage, Tyler Walker, Dusty Lee, Shane Mitchell, Aaron Tucker, Avry King, Bobby Huckabaa, Heath Bedsole, Tyler Rasberry, Dustin Worley, Alphonso Freeney and Hunter Canant.

The 15-year-old Covington County Babe Ruth All-Stars will be coached by Ricky Reeves, Perry Walker and Darryl King.

All three teams will compete in district tournaments later this month. All three district tournaments will be held at the Straughn High School baseball field.

The 13-year-old team will play the Andalusia Babe Ruth All-Stars at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday, June 26 in the first game of the district tournament.

The 14-year-old team will play the Andalusia Babe Ruth All-Stars at 8 p.m. on Thursday, June 26.

The 15-year-old team will play the Andalusia Babe Ruth All-Stars at 5:30 p.m. on Friday, June 27.

The 13-year-old and 14-year-old championship games are scheduled for Sunday, June 29.

The championship game of the 15-year-old Babe Ruth District Tournament is slated for 8 p.m. on Monday, June 30.
