Mary Etta Worley

Mary Etta Worley, 75, of Andalusia, died Wednesday, July 2, 2003 in an Andalusia hospital.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m., Saturday, July 5, 2003 at Keahey Funeral Home with Rev. Wilson Meadows officiating. Special music was provided by Robert Brayton and Angie Worley Watson, accompanied by pianist Zondra Jernigan, the Oakey Ridge Baptist Church Choir, along with guitarist, George Covin. Burial followed in the Enon Baptist Church Cemetery with Keahey Funeral Home directing.

Survivors include her husband, Horace Worley, Andalusia; sons and daughters-in-laws, Gary W. and Sherry A. Worley of Red Oak; Danny D. and Cindy A. Worley, Andalusia; Robin D. and Cindy D. Worley, Andalusia; daughter and son-in-law, Pam J. and Robert S. Brayton, Magnolia, Texas, brother: James Kenneth McGlaun, Gantt; sister: Ruby Nell Causey, Montgomery; eight grandchildren, James Worley, Kelly Worley, David Worley, Andrew Scott Brayton, Hannah Leah Brayton, Alison June Brayton, Timothy Scott Worley and Phillip Karl Brayton; two great-grandchildren: Tessa Ann Worley and Maycee Marie Worley.

Pallbearers include Odean Worley, Steve Knox, Roger Knox, Wesley Worley, Buddy Barrow, Donahue Ziglar, and Glen Ray Worley.

Clarence Smithart

Mr. Clarence Smithart, 93, died Wednesday July 2, 2003, in a Florida Hospital.

Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Bethany Baptist Church Cemetery with full military rites. Keahey Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Catherine Harris

Catherine Harris, 76, of Andalusia, died Friday, July 4, 2003 in a Luverne nursing home.

Funerals services were at 2 p.m. at Keahey Funeral Home with Rev. Mickey Ray Skipper officiating. Special music was provided by the family.

Burial followed in the Harmony Baptist Church Cemetery with Keahey Funeral Home directing.

Survivors include a brother Lemon Hurst of Andalusia; three sisters, Early Faye Hobson of Florida, Ivalee Henderson, Andalusia; Ruthie Raybon, Brantley; two grandchidlren, Sonya Harris and Anthony Harris.

Pallbearers included Wayne Harris, Jimmy Gillum, Tommy Lee Bolling, Buddy Harris, Parrie Harris, and LaDon Ammons.

Thomas E. Smith

Thomas E. Smith, 51, of Andalusia died Monday, July 7, 2003 in a Dothan hospital.

Funeral arrangements are incomplete and will be announced later by Keahey Funeral Home.

Effie H. Williams

Effie H. Williams, 92 of Gantt, died Wednesday, July 2, 2003 in an Andalusia hosptial.

Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. Saturday, July 5, 2003 at First Baptist Church, Gantt with Rev. Leonard Hill and Rev. Wayne Sharpe officiating. Burial followed at Able Cemetery with Foreman Funeral Home directing. Music was provided by the church choir, accompanied by Helen Rountree.

She is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Mack and Norma Williams of Gantt; two gradchildren, Sam Williams and Sara Williams of Gantt.

Pallbearers were J.T. Raley, Don Taylor, Bill Carter, Buddy Harris, Joe Riley and James Jones.
