Emily Jean Henderson

Emily Jean Henderson, the infant daughter of David and Amanda Henderson of Opp died Saturday, August 16, 2003 at her residence in Opp.

Funeral arrangements are incomplete and will be announced later by Keahey Funeral Home.

Mavis Bryant Lawson

Mavis Bryant Lawson, 73, of Andaluisa, died Monday, August 18, 2003 in a Montgomery hospital.

Preston S. Bailey Jr.

Preston S. Bailey Jr., 77, of Monroeville, died Friday, August 15, 2003 in a Birimingham hospital.

He was born October 1, 1925 in Vero Beach, Fla. and grew up in McKenzie and Andalusia. He earned an Industrial Engineering degree from Auburn University, where he was a member of Pi Kappa Alpha fraternity. He served in the Air Force in World War II before going to work for Vanity Fair Corporation, from which he retired after a 35 year career. He was a member of the American Legion and First United Methodist Church of Monroeville. He was preceded in death by his wife of 29 years, Mary Anne Clements Bailey.

Survivors include his wife of 20 years, Mary Baker Bailey; a daughter, Anne Bailey Cates (Eric III) of Birmingham; stepchildren, Manly Parks Lee, Jr. (Ann) of Birmingham; Sammie Lee Clark

(Michael) of Atlanta; 10 grandchildren, Eric IV, Bailey and Mary Anne Cates; Mary Margaret, Elizabeth, Rebecca and Baker Lee; and Lane, Suzanne and Catherine Clark.

The family will receive friends in Wesley Hall of the First United Church of Monroeville at 1 p.m., Sunday, August 17, 2003. Funeral services will follow at 2 p.m. in the sanctuary, Dr. Lance Moore officiating. Burial will be in Andaluisa. The family suggests the following memorials.
