Andalusia Police arrested Phelix Johnson for stabbing Henry Bullard, 29, multiple times Saturday morning at a residence on McClendon Ave, Andalusia Police Chief Wilbur Williams said.

The initial dispatch call came from Andalusia Regional Hospital at approximately 9:13 a.m., and the incident occurred somewhere between 8 – 9 a.m., said Williams.

"The defendant will be charged with assault in the first degree," Williams said. "The wounds must have been serious and life-threatening for us to bring those charges on the defendant, and he is being held at the 'blue-roof inn,' otherwise known as the Covington County Jail."

The dispute was apparently domestic related, said Williams.

"There was another witness, and the witness was a female," said Williams. "That should give you an idea of what the dispute was about."

The victim was been released from Andalusia Regional Hospital after receiving treatment for his injuries, Williams said.
