Bulldogs host Aggies

Fundamentals can make the difference in a game and Andalusia Head Coach Tom Causey knows it. Causey said the Andalusia Bulldogs must execute the offense to have a chance to win every Friday night. He said this week's game against the Jackson Aggies is not different.
The Bulldogs (1-4, 1-2 in region play) and Aggies (1-4, 1-2 in region play) are slated to play beginning at 7 p.m. Friday in Andalusia.
Causey said practice has been good so far this week for the Bulldogs as they continue to work on the basics.
"It's the same old stuff," Causey said. "We need to correct the mistakes we are making. Everybody has been working hard so far this week."
He said the Rams do not try to trick defenses.
"They are going to bring it right at us," Causey said about the Rams' rushing attack. "They have a quick quarterback who is as quick as a hiccup."
Causey said the Rams have three running backs and all of them weigh about 200 pounds.
"They have a good offensive line and they are very physical," Causey said. "If you've ever seen Jackson play then you know what I mean."
He said the Rams are better than the 1-4 record indicates. The Rams have caught some bad breaks on defense and have been without several starters so far this season, Causey said.
Unfortunately for the Bulldogs, Causey said this week the Rams are getting healthy.
The Bulldogs plan to stick with the same attack this week.
"We're going to try and do the same things we've been trying to do," Causey said. "We took a step backwards on offense last week. We've been running the same plays for five weeks and we missed some assignments.
"We have to get the base stuff down," Causey added. "We add a few wrinkles each week and run plays off plays, but we have to get the base offense down."
The key is improving each week.
"We've got to get better," Causey said.
