Ellen M. Smith
Ellen M. Smith, 86, of Andalusia, died Tuesday, September 9, 2003 at her residence.
Funeral services are incomplete and will be announced later by Keahey Funeral Home.
Malcom Bowdoin
Malcom Bowdoin, 68, of Andalusia, died Monday, September 8, 2003 in a Dothan hospital.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, September 10, 2003 at Keahey Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Fairview Church Cemetery in Coffee County with Keahey Funeral Home directing.
Survivors include his son, Jasper Bowdoin of Andalusia; one brother, Dallas Bowdoin of Andalusia; two sisters, Hazel Anthony of Andalusia; and Evelyn Cope of Headland and several nieces and nephews.
Meredith McGlamory
Meredith McGlamory, 5, of Andalusia, died Sunday, September 7, 2003 at her residence.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, September 10, 2003 at Bethany Baptist Church with Rev. Barry Holcomb officiating. Burial will follow in Bethany Cemetery. Visitation will be at
the church 30 minutes prior to services.
The family will accept flowers or donations to the Make a Wish Foundation, 2100 First Avenue North, Birmingham, AL, 35203.
Survivors include her parents, Russell and Janna McGlamory of Andalusia; her brother, John Reid McGlamory; maternal grandparents, June Simpson and Bobby Douglas of Andaluisa; paternal grandmother, Elaine Scott of Andalusia; maternal great-grandmothers, Frances Grimes of Panama City, and Mary Clyde Douglas of Andalusia; two uncles, Jonathan (Laura) Douglas of Manchester, Ga., and Jeffery Douglas of Andalusia; her great aunts and uncles, Mary Beth (Jim) Dukes of Pineville, La., Tommy (Betty) Grimes, Melissa (Frank) Henderson, Jimmy (Debbie) Grimes, Jeff (LaQueeta) Grimes, and Billy (Toni) Douglas, all of Andalusia.
Pallbearers will be Bob Burkhardt, Joe Scherzinger, Scott Riley and Shannon Glenn.
Carlis Blocker
Carlis Blocker, 82, of Dozier died Tuesday, September 9, 2003 at an Opp nursing home.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, September 11, 2003 at the Oak Grove Baptist Church with Rev.Frankie McVay officiating and burial following in the church cemetery. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 pm. at Foreman Funeral Home and 30 minutes prior to the services.
Survivors include his sons, Bobby L. (Janie) Blocker of Dozier, Harry (Shirley) Blocker of Andalusia; six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; brothers, J. Blocker of Lourel Hill, Fla., Wilburn Blocker of Florida, Ed Block of Andalusia, Buddy Blocker of Colorado; his sisters, Ruth Mae Spivey of Loango, Hazel Dubose of Andalusia, Willie Frank Luchen of Laurel Hill, Fla.; Onell Anderson of Opp.
