Voncile Stone Jones

Voncile Stone Jones, 86, of Andalusia, died in a Pensacola hospital Friday, September 15, 2003.

Graveside services will be held Sunday, September 21, 2003 at 2 p.m. from the Andalusia Memorial Cemetery. The body will lie in state from 5 p.m. Saturday at Foreman Funeral Home.

Survivors include one daughter, Suan Jones of Andalusia; two brothers, Walter Herman Stone of Birmingham, Leon Stone of Andalusia; a number of nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, W.C. (Bill) Jones.

Rosie Mae Peterson Scott

Rosie Mae Peterson Scott, 91, of Mobile, formerly of Andalusia, died Friday, September 19 in a Mobile nursing home.

Funeral services will be held Monday, September 22, 2003 at 10 a.m. from the Foreman Funeral Home with Rev. Levon Burke officiating and with interment in Bethany Cemetery. The body will lie in state at 9 a.m. at Foreman Funeral Home.

Survivors include two sisters, Addilean W. Dean of Mobile and Sarah Peterson of Mobile;

a sister-in-law, Marie Dixon of Andalusia and 10 nieces and nephews and other relatives.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles T. Scott.

Bernard Carlton Colquett

Bernard Carlton Colquett, 79,

a 50 year resident of Fort Walton Beach, died Wednesday, September 17, 2003 in Ft. Walton Beach, Fla. after a brief illness.

He was born on Dec. 3, 1923 in Dozier and grew up in Andalusia before moving to Fort Walton Beach. He was a veteran of the United States Navy, and participated in the Pacific Campaign during World War II. He was a building materials salesman serving major building contractors during the development of Commercial and residential properties in Fort Walton Beach. He was employed and retired from Gatlin Lumber Company.

He is survived by his loving family and wife of 56 years, Ancele Guinette Boggan Colquett; son of Joel Edmond Colquett, and his wife, Moica Todd Colquett of Fort Walton Beach; daughter, Cynthia Joyce Colquett Addison and her husband, Robert S. Addison of Brandon, Miss.; three grandchildren, Matthew Thomas Addison of Talahassee, Fla.; Ashlea Grace Addison of Memphis, Tenn. and Andrew Lucas Addison of Starkville, Miss.; sisters, Edna Jackson of Andalusia, Francis Hog of Dozier, sister-in-law, Betty Ann Williams and brother-in-law, Wesley D. Williams of Dothan; many loving nieces and nephews.

Carlton was a Christian, a loving, wonderful husband, father and friend, a true gentleman who loved his family and will be missed by all.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday, September 20, 2003 in teh McLaughlin Mortuary Chapel. Burial will follow in the Beal Memorial Cemetrey. McLaughlin Mortuary, 17 Chestnut Avenue, Fort Walton Beach has been entrusted with the funeral arangements.

Estelle A. Barfoot

Estelle A. Barfoot, 81, of Andalusia died Thursday, September 18, 2003 in a Fort Walton Beach Hospital.

Funeral services will be held 10 a.m., Saturday, September 20, 2003 at Keahey Funeral Home.

Survivors include her faithful companion of 26 years, Olen Lolley of Andaluisa; son, Bennett Lee Aughtman of Andalusia; daughters and sons-in-law, Faye and Doc Bryant of Andalusia and Betty, Crayton Patterson of Andalusia; brothers J.C. Bess of Andalusia, Y.Z. Bess of Florala, L.E. Bess of Elba, and W.D. Bess of Dade City, Fla.; sisters, Rhonda Bell Foxworth of Andalusia, Isabell Morrisey of Crestview, Fla.; graddaughter and grandson-in-law, Monica and Kasey Fallin of Andalusia; grandson, Billy Johnson of Fairhope; great-grandchildren, Sierra Danford, Ryne Danford, Noah Fallin, Jaimeson Fallin and Dallis Johnston.

Lillian John Ellison

Lillian John Ellison, 80, a long time Lithia Springs, Ga. resident died Thursday, September 18, 2003 from Parkinson’s Disease.

She was born on March 23, 1923 in Dozier. She was preceded in death by her parents, William Harmon and Levada Johns; and her eight brothers and sisters.

She is survived by her husband, George Lee Ellison of Lithia Springs, son and daughter-in-law, Timothy Lee and Gina Ellison of Villa Rica; two grandchildren, Brent Lee Ellison and Elizabeth J. Ellison, both of Villa Rica; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, September 20, 2003 at 11:30 a.m. at White Columns Funeral Chapel in Lithia Springs, Ga. with Rev. Jeff Summers officiating. Burial will follow at Mozley Memorial gardens.
