Tigers defeat Eagles

In junior varsity football action on Monday, the Red Level Tigers earned a 24-0 win against the Pleasant Home Eagles.

The Tigers' points came on four touchdowns. RayRay Knight had a 65-yard touchdown run for one score in the win.

Shane Turner added a touchdown on about a 50-yard run for the Tigers.

Terrance Marshall had two scores in the win. He scored on about a 30-yard run on a sweep play for one touchdown. Marshall's other score for the Tigers came on about a 50-yard interception return for a touchdown.

The Tigers return to action on Oct. 6 against the Straughn Tigers at Straughn. Kickoff is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. The Tigers' final game is a road game against the Georgiana Panthers on Oct. 14 with kickoff set for 6:30 p.m.

The Pleasant Home Eagles play again on Oct. 6 when the Opp Bobcats come to town. Kickoff is set for 6:30 p.m. The final game of the season for the JV Eagles is a road game at Straughn on Oct. 14 with kickoff slated for 6:30 p.m.

FLORALA FALLS TO

BRANTLEY

The Florala junior varsity football team fell to the Brantley Bulldogs on Monday by a final score of 34-12.

Florala's two scores came on touchdown runs.

Reggie Gundrum scored one of the rushing touchdowns for the Wildcats.

O.J. Chambers added the second score on a touchdown run.

The JV Wildcats play again on Oct. 6 when the Georgiana Panthers visit Mathews Stadium. Kickoff is slated for 6:30 p.m.

The Wildcats wrap up the season on Oct. 16 against Baker at Mathews Stadium. The game is scheduled to begin at 6:30 p.m.
