Bowling league action continues

The Covington Casket Company team is in first place in the Monday Night Business League with 112 points after 21 weeks of the 36-week season.

Last week's top scores in the league included three by Tommy Reeves with a 267 scratch game, 652 scratch series and 278 handicap game. Robbie Cook Jr. had the best handicap series among the men with a 700.

Reeves' 278 handicap game is a new high score for the season.

Rochelle Crowell had two top scores among the women with a 235 handicap game and a 627 handicap series. Melody Gunter posted the top scratch game score with a 193. Maryann Andrews bowled a 539 scratch series for top honors last week.

TUESDAY NIGHT

LADIES LEAGUE

The Huddle House squad is in first place with 96 points after 19 weeks of the 32-week season.

Gladys Norris had the top scores last week with a 243 scratch game, 276 handicap game, 625 scratch series and 724 handicap series.

All four of her top scores are also new high scores for the season.

SENIOR MIXED LEAGUE

The MPS' team is in first place with 82 points after 17 weeks of the 32-week season.

Last week's top scores among the men included two by Buddy Jay. He had a 220 scratch game score and a 599 scratch series.

Pat Goodwin had the best handicap game with a 237 score. Bobby Davis had a 655 handicap series for top honors.

Mary Jordan swept the top scores among the women with a 207 scratch game, 543 scratch series, 251 handicap game and 675 handicap series. Her 543 scratch series is a new high score for the season.

THURSDAY MORNING COFFEE LEAGUE

The Monroe Ladies team is in first place after 20 weeks of the 34-week season.

Butch Lints had the top scores among the men last week with a 212 scratch game, 596 scratch series, 242 handicap game and 686 handicap series. His 596 scratch series is a new high score for the season.

Dorcus Williamson had three top scores among the women with a 531 scratch series, 241 handicap game and 702 handicap series.

Sherry Freeman had the best scratch game score with a 194.

THURSDAY NIGHT

MIXED LEAGUE

The Mendoza's are in first place with 84 points after 17 weeks of the 32-week season.

Last week's top scores among the men included a 264 scratch game by Jim Moody. He also had the best scratch series with a 632 and the best handicap game with a 273 score. Joe Barnes had the top handicap series score with a 672.

Kris Rowell had two top scores among the women with a 271 handicap game and a 688 handicap series.

Vicki Gaston had the best scratch game with a 214. Melody Gunter had the top scratch series with a 580 score.

SATURDAY MORNING YOUTH LEAGUE

After 17 weeks of the 32-week season, the Strikers are in first place with 90 points followed by the Strikin Tigers with 88 points and the Strike Seekers with 86 points.

Last week's top scores in Division 1 included a 106 scratch game and a 290 scratch series by Cas Sawyer. Sawyer also had the best handicap series with a 584.

Ben Ford had the best handicap game score with a 211.

Nicole Bryant had the top scores among the ladies with a 156 scratch game, 372 scratch series, 246 handicap game and 642 handicap series.

In Division 2, Kyle Kelley had the top scores among the boys with a 227 scratch game, 520 scratch series, 284 handicap game and 691 handicap series.

Kelley also earned his 500 YABA 3-Game Series Award with a 520 series score.

Michelle Odom had the top scores among the ladies with a 137 scratch game, 370 scratch series, 202 handicap game and 565 handicap series.
