Jimmy Louis Pate

Jimmy Louis Pate, 60, of Andalusia died Tuesday, October 7, 2003 at his home.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Thursday, October 9, 2003 at New Providence Baptist Church in Paul with Rev. Calvin Lasley and Rev. Cleveland Brown. Burial will follow in the Pate Family Cemetery.

Survivors include his wife, Vicki Pate of Andalusia; a son, Jimmy Louis Pate Jr. of Andalusia; two brothers, Wayne M. Pate of Evergreen and Travis Pate of Andalusia; two grandchildren, Blake Lemley Pate and BreAnna Linsey Pate of Red Level; parents, Linsey Louis Pate and Gladys Pate of Evergreen; father-in-law, John Howard Payne of Andalusia; mother-in-law, Juanita Spence Payne of Andalusia.

Anita Lucille Archie

Anita Lucille Archie, 47, of Andalusia died Friday, October 3, 2003 at her residence.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Monday, October 6, 2003 at Foreman Funeral Home with Rev. John Hunt and Rev. Kevin Bond officiating. Burial followed at Andalusia Memorial Cemetery.

She is survived by her husband, Terry Archie of Andalusia; three daughters and sons-in-law, Rose and Michael Hopkins of Linden, Salinda and Byron Johnston of Linden and Teria Archie of Andalusia; four grandchildren, Andrew Hopkins, Alex Hopkins, Dillon Johnston, Harley Johnston, all of Linden; mother, Rose Cahue of Hartford City, Ind.; sister, Vicki Ellenberg of Hartford City; a brother, Jim Turner of Hartford City; mother-in-law, Christine Archie of Andalusia and a number of nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers were Brownie Woodall, Terry Archie, Tink Archie, Clayton Turner, Ray Miles and Todd Sasser.

Gladys Duke

Gladys Duke, 88, of Dozier died Monday, October 6, 2003 in an Opp hospital.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, October 8, 2003 at Foreman Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Alan Cassady officiating and burial in Magnolia Cemetery.

Survivors include her son, H. Wayne and Phyllis Duke of Andalusia; a daughter, Sharlene Duke-Davis and Danny Davis of Dozier; four grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews.

Flowers will be accepted or memorial to Wiregrass Hospice.

Pallbearers were Howard Marler, Rex Kimbro, Danny Davis, Robert Fisher, Jimmy Rawls and Wayne Duke Jr.

Cecil Neese

Cecil Neese, 81, of Andalusia died Sunday, October 5, 2003 in a Montgomery hospital.

Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, October 8, 2003 at Foreman Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Buddy Matton officiating with burial following in Andalusia Memorial Cemetery.

Survivors include his daughters, Patricia Neese Ballard of Montgomery, Linda Neese (Jerry) Hutcheson of Mobile, and Barbara Neese (Don) of Gantt of Gantt; six grandchildren, Debra Dearmon, Donna Shipp, Cynthia Smith, Wendy Ballard, Todd Ballard and Trae Gantt; nine great-grandchildren; a brother, David &uot;Buck&uot; Neese of Andalusia.

Pallbearers were Scott Dearmon, John Shipp, Todd Ballard, Roger Smith, Trae Gant and Charles Branks.
