Maurice Beck Hart

Maurice Beck Hart, 89, of the Hopewell community died Thursday, October 23, 2003 in Mobile.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Sunday, October 26, 2003 at Hopewell Baptist Church with Rev. Drexal Copeland and Rev. Melvin Smith officiating with burial following in Hopewell Cemetery. Foreman Funeral Home directed. Special music was provided by Lisa Rolling.

Survivors include her son, Kenneth (Dorothy) Hart of Mobile; her grandchildren, Jeff Hart of Caraville, Fla., Brian Hart of Andalusia, Chris Hart of Atlanta, Dorann Owens of Mobile and Kimberly Gardner of Mobile; great-grandchildren, Kristen Gardner, Julie Fagard, Trey Gardner, Lauren Haley Hart, and Isabella Hart, and one great-great-grandchildren, Jasmine Bell.

Pallbearers were Jack Sansom, D.C. Lambert, Ronnie Curry, William Knowles, Roy Wiggins and Eugene Copeland.

Wilson Sanborn

Wilson Sanborn, 92, of Andalusia died Tuesday, October 28, 2003 at his residence.

Memorial services will be announced later by Foreman Funeral Home.

John Jeffery Powell

John Jeffery Powell, 42, of Andalusia, died Sunday, October 26, 2003 at a local residence.

Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, October 29, 2003 at Foreman Funeral Home chapel with burial following in Magnolia Cemetery with Rev. Steven Arndt officiating.

Survivors include his wife, Roxanne Powell of Andalusia; a daughter, Jessica Powell of Andalusia; a son, Kenneth Powell of New Orleans; his father, Billy Powell of Andalusia; mother, Kathryn Powell of Phenix City; maternal grandmother, Kathleen Ging of Molino, Fla.; and a brother, Bill Powell of Andalusia.

Pallbearers will be Kenneth Powell, Jim Lands, Sammy Blackwell, Steve Fields, Ray Mauldin and Clayton Worley.
