Police continue to investigate a break-in at Andalusia Middle School that ocurred Sunday afternoon.

Officers Mike Hayden and Darren Raines of the Andalusia Police Department were dispatched to the school around 5:30 p.m. Sunday afternoon where it was discovered that an undisclosed amount of money had been taken from one of the rooms.

According to Andalusia Police Chief Wilbur Williams, no suspects were found on scene, but the investigation continues.

Andalusia Police also handed three teenagers a sobering moment when the three were escorted in handcuffs to the Covington County Jail for alcohol possession early Saturday morning.

Kasie Spooner,

Mark Ryals, and James Defranco, all 18, were stopped by Officer Raymond Dixon around 1 a.m. for a traffic violation at the Scottish Inn on the MLK Expressway. Upon search of the vehicle, the officer found several unopened containers of beer and couple of cans which were "apparently used for smoking a narcotic," said Williams.

None of the teenagers were intoxicated at the time of arrest. Two of teens were also charged with possession of drug paraphenalia.
