Local law enforcement officials are investigating a possible robbery that occurred Wednesday night at Cans-R-Us Discount Grocery, behind Hardee's on Antioch Road in Andalusia. Three black males could be involved in the theft, according to initial reports.

The alleged robbery occurred at approximately 6:30 p.m., and officials from Covington County Sheriff's Department, APD, and the Drug Task Force assisted with the investigation following the possible crime.

A witness said three black males entered the store, asked a worker if they could use the restroom. They then asked the employee where the light switch was. The employee proceeded to show the group where it was, and the group locked the worker in the bathroom, said the witness. The witness added the group robbed the place before fleeing the scene.

A K-9 unit from APD tracked possible leads to the crime, but no leads were reported late Wednesday evening. Officers on the scene would not comment.
