Luther Blocker

Luther Blocker, 86, of the Harmony community died Saturday, November 8, 2003 at his residence.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Monday at the Harmony Baptist Church with Rev. Greg Cotter and Denny Couturie officiating and burial will follow in Harmony Cemetery with Foreman Funeral Home directing. Survivors include his daughters, Jenny Morris of Panama City, Fla., Connie Hanley of Andalusia, Sandra Morris of Panama City, Fla. and Jo Davis of Chipley, Fla.; his sons, William Blocker of Andalusia; Dwight Blocker of Marrianna, Fla. and Michael Blocker of Andalusia; 13 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren; one sister, Bernice Creel of Tampa.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Esther Blocker and three sons, Herman Blocker, Derwood Blocker and Earl Blocker.

Pallbearers were William Blocker, Dwight Blocker, Daniel Blocker, Tony Cross, Travis Blocker and Justin Blocker.

Honorary pallbearers were Michael Blocker, Chad Smith, Tim Turner and Robbie Bass.

The family will accept flowers or memorials may be made to the Harmony Cemetery fund or to Wiregrass Hospice.
