Rev. Thomas Glenn Wade

His many sermons he had preached about Heaven and the glorious things thereof became a reality for him, Wednesday, November 26,2 003 at Doctoris Hospital at the age of 49. Rev. Wade was born on August 3, 2954 in Phenix City; and was a residence of Phenix City.

He was a 1973 graduate of Central High School in Phenix City. He was a senior student of the Global University of Springfield, Mo.

Funeral services were held at Vance Funeral Home of Phenix City on Saturday, November 29, 2003 at 1 p.m. with Rev. Charles Hays, Rev. J.T. Herring, Rev. Billy Joe Glover, Rev. Dan Marler and Rev. Gene Wade officiating. Visitation was held at the funeral home from 6 to 8 p.m.

Memorials may be made to Lakeview Memory Garden.

Active pallbearers will be Randy Powers, Larry Powers, Les Richardson, Ronnie Richardson, Rod Densel, Bobby Bolding, Tommy Bolding, and Terry Bolding. Honorary pallbearers will be the Ministers of the Phenix City and Columbus area.

Rev. Wade, ordained minister with the Assemblies of God pastored several churches during his ministry including; Rock Hill Assembly of God, Brewton; First Assembly of God, Red Level; Harpers Joy Assembly of God, Dothan; First Assembly of God, Geneva; Riverview Assembly of God, Columbus, Ga.; Sandfort Road of Assembly of God, Phenix; Alabama and Benning Park Assembly of God, Columbus, Ga. At the time of his homegoing he was the pastor of Golden Acres Assembly of God, Phenix City where he had a very prosperous and fruitful ministry.

He was preceded in death by his father, Wardell H. Wade; grandparents, Homer and Lucille Wade, Thomas and Sally Powers; and mother-in-law, Dean Marler.

He is survived by his wife of 22 years, Sherry Marler Wade; one daughter, Angela Rene Wade, both of Phenix City; mother, Willie Maud Wade of Phenix City; brother, Rev. Gene Wade and his wife Cheryl of Phenix City; sister, Kathy Tadlock and her husband Jimmy of Phenix City; nieces, Dawn Wade Willis and husband Brett, of Phenix City, Brandy Piland of Opp, and Sherry Walker of Phenix City; nephews Brad Wade and Caleb Walker of Phenix City; father-in-law, Rev. Dan Marler and wife Pat of Opp; sister-in-law, Debby Piland and husband Steve of Opp; relatives and many devoted friends and church family that are too numerous to mention by name.
