Bowling leagues update standings

Bowlers continue to battle for league titles at Boland Lanes II in Andalusia.

MONDAY NIGHT BUSINESS LEAGUE

The Covington Casket Company team is in first place with 74 points after 14 weeks of the 36-week season. The How'd We Get Here team is in second followed by The Outlaws.

Last week's top scores included four by Melody Gunter with a 208 scratch game, 541 scratch series, 227 handicap game and 598 handicap series.

Peewee Gunter had three top scores among the men with a 225 scratch game, 252 handicap game and 649 handicap series. Toby Freeman had the best scratch series among the men last week with a 589.

The top scores from week 13 included a 235 scratch game and a 246 handicap game by Cliff Sims. Buddy Jay had a 625 scratch series and a 682 handicap series.

Four women had top scores in week 13. Ruth Cook had the best scratch game with a 185 score. Melody Gunter posted the best scratch series with a 495. Rochelle Crowell had the best handicap game with a 239. Candie Chandler posted the top handicap series with a 652.

TUESDAY NIGHT LADIES LEAGUE

The Bowl Webles are in first place after 12 weeks of the 32-week season with 52 points. The Huddle House team is a close second with 48 points. The Advantage Realty team is tied for third with the Loango Convenience team. Both squads have 46 points.

Bonnie Dover had three top scores last week with a 193 scratch game, 550 scratch series and 664 handicap series.

Donna Godwin had the best handicap game score with a 233.

Cassie Carroll was the top bowler in week 11 with four top scores. She had a 193 scratch game, 250 handicap game, 485 scratch series and 656 handicap series.

THURSDAY MORNING COFFEE LEAGUE

After 15 weeks of the 34-week season, the Loango Convenience team is in first place with 76 points. The Monroe Ladies are in second with 71 points.

Last week's top scores among the men were swept by Butch Lints. He had a 192 scratch game, 539 scratch series, 223 handicap game and 632 handicap series.

Sherry Ard had two top scores among the women with a 201 scratch game and a 550 scratch series. Cassie Carroll posted the best handicap game among the women with a 262 score. Freddie Thornton had the best handicap series with a 684 score.

THURSDAY NIGHT MIXED LEAGUE

Mendoza's is in first place after 12 weeks of the 32-week season followed by The 4 Nuts.

Toby Freeman was the top bowler among the men last week with a 267 scratch game, 684 scratch series, 289 handicap game and 750 handicap series.

Debbie Dimond had two top scores among the women with a 589 scratch series and a 275 handicap game. Ruth Cook had the best scratch game with a 250 score. Mary Jordan posted the best handicap series with a 718.

SATURDAY MORNING YOUTH LEAGUE

The Strike Seekers are in first place after 11 weeks with 56 points. The Mixed Nuts are in second two points back followed by the Strikin Tigers with 52 points.

Kyle Kelley posted a 200 score to earn a 200 High Game Award (YABA) during week 11.
