Opp splits

The Opp High School varsity basketball team split against the visiting Bullock County squads Tuesday.

The Lady Bobcats topped Bullock County for a 56-29 win.

Trinity Osborn paced the Lady Bobcats with 16 points. Sasha Musgrove added 15 points in the victory. Kim Crittenden also reached double figures in points with 10.

Ashley Mock added 8 points for Opp. Natasha Archie scored 5 points. Jessica Wood scored 2 points.

The Opp Lady Bobcats are now 5-2 on the season.

The Opp Bobcats did not do as well in the varsity boys' game falling by a final score of 80-49.

The loss drops the Bobcats to 2-2 on the season.

Daniel Coleman was the leading scorer with 14 points. Emmanuel Lane added 13 points. Alphonso Harris scored 7 points. Rhett Barnes had 3 points. Tyrell Hunter and Demariel Smith scored 2 points each in the loss.

The Bobcats return to action on Thursday in the Andalusia Invitational Tournament being played at Andalusia High School.

Opp plays Brantley at 4 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 11 at Andalusia High School.
