Everyone knew the Tigers would win last night, the question was would it be the Red Level Tigers or the Straughn Tigers.

In the end, both schools got wins.

The Red Level Tigers won the varsity boys' game by a final score of 75-57 after the Straughn Lady Tigers won the varsity girls' game by a count of 60-10. Straughn won the B-team boys' game, 39-19.

In the varsity boys' game, Red Level went on top 23-14 in the first quarter and had a 33-23 lead at the half.

In the second half, Red Level stretched its lead to 59-42 after three quarters of play en route to a 75-57 win.

Frank Tolbert paced Red Level on offense with 35 points. Larry Hudson added 19. Malcolm Lawson also reached double figures in scoring with 11. Russell Rigdon added 6. Will McInvale and Tim Ryce had 2 points each.

Garrett Windham had 20 points for Straughn. Sterling Driver added 16. Jared Armstrong went for 8 points. Alphonso Freeney, Hunter Kinsaul, Jeff Bass, Andrew Huggins and Jeremy Hunt also scored for Straughn.

In the girls' game, Straughn went on top 20-0 in the first quarter. Red Level did not score until halfway through the second quarter and did not make a field goal until the final seconds of the first half.

Straughn went on to record a 60-10 win.

Danielle Beasley scored 22 points to pace Straughn. Abby Bracewell had 14 points. McKena Parker added 11 points in the win. Ashley Daniels scored 8 points. Stacey Gautney and Sonya Padgett had 2 points each. Andrea Cochran scored 1 point.

Erica Crawford, Lindsay Jones, Breanna Pate and Jayne Brown scored for Red level.

The Straughn B-team Tigers recorded a 39-19 win against Red Level.

Jason Cotton had 17 points for Straughn. Andrew Carter added 7. Marshall McGlaun and Justin Dortch had 5 points each. Von Clayborn added 3. Justin Freeney scored 2 points.

Princeton Ryce, Cody Ingram and Dominic Williams had 4 points each for Red Level. Clay Marshall, Casey Hardage and Troy Calloway also scored for Red Level.

On Monday, the Red Level Tigers played McKenzie.

The varsity Tigers from Red Level defeated McKenzie by a final score of 64-45 to improve to 1-1 on the season. Frank Tolbert paced Red Level with 23 points. Larry Hudson added 8 points. Malcolm Lawson scored 7 points.

Will McInvale and Russell Rigdon scored 6 points each. Tim Ryce had 4 points. Doug West scored 3 points. Jermaine Jackson and Eric Longmire had 2 points each. Dominic Williams had 1 point.

McKenzie won the varsity girls' game by a final score of 43-25. Jessica Crawford was the leading scorer for Red Level with 16 points. Janaye Brown added 6 points. Chiquita Calloway had 3 points.

In the B-team game, the Red Level Tigers improved to 2-0 on the season with a 52-27 win. Princeton Ryce scored 16 points in the win. Troy Calloway added 12 points.
