Sara Lou Helms

Sara Lou Helms, 74, of Hartford, formerly of Red Level died Wednesday, January 14, 2004 at her residence.

Funeral arrangements are incomplete and will be announced later by Keahey Funeral Home.

Survivor include four sons, Harold Wayne (Amy) Smith of Hartford, Farrell (Shelia) Smith of Bellwood, Billy Ray (Barbara) Smith of Bedford, Ind., William Earl Smith of Loango; daughters, Margaret (Rickey) Lloyd of North Carolina, James Edward (Opal) Smith of Georgia; brother, Jimmie Sue (Paul) Faingnaert of Red Level, Horace Barfoot of Opp; sisters, Mattie Lee Atkinson, Jennie Ruth Taylor, Mae Ree Robinson; 30 grandchildren.

Mrs. Helms was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Earl Smith and son, Robert Earl Smith; a sister, Mary Madelene.

Mattie Lou Fowler

Mattie Lou Fowler, 106, of Red Level died Tuesday, January 13, 2004 in an Andalusia Hospital.

Kenneth Barton

Kenneth Barton, 63, of Gantt, died Wednesday, January 14, 2004 at his residence.

Judy Helms Kelley

Judy Helms Kelley, 57, of Elba died Tuesday, December 16, 2003 in the University of South Alabama Medical Center of Mobile.

Funeral services were held at Wyatt Funeral Home Chapel on Friday, December 19, 2003 at 1:30 p.m. with Rev. Roger Miller and Rev. Andrew Smith officiating. Burial followed at Peaceful Acres Memorial Gardens in Opp.

She was preceded in death by her father, Mr. J.T. Helms of Babbie.

Survivors include her husband, Lamar Kelley of Elba; daughters, Sherry Miserendino and son-in-law, Tony of Orlando, Fla., Kerry Jay Kelley of Troy; mother Jensie Helms Sasser of Babbie; sister, Joan D. Persons and husband Benton of Andalusia; three nieces and two nephew; Heather D. Brooks of LaGrange, Ga. and Hayley Davis of Atlanta, Lisa Duebelt, Ken Buie of Elba, and Phillip Crowell of Andalusia.
