We should be proud of our Academy of Ballet

The weekend of Jan. 16 to 19, a group of young ladies from the Andalusia Academy of Ballet were in Birmingham taking part in the Alabama Dance Council 's Summit. This was a weekend of intense dancing with other ballet, modern and jazz dancers from around the state of Alabama.

Andalusia Academy was one of the dance companies chosen to dance their jazz piece in the performance on Sunday afternoon. Three girls from our company were also chosen with 17

others from around the state to dance a created piece that was the finale of the weekend.

For a small city, we have much to be proud. Families of these young women should be proud of how they represented our ballet company and the City of Andalusia.

Please continue to support our Andalusia Ballet. Our next local performance will be March 13 ad 14. Hope to see you all there.
