Tigers fry Frisco City

The Red Level Tigers improved to 19-5 on the season with a 70-52 win against the visiting Frisco City Whippets (10-12) on Senior Night.

Frank Tolbert paced the Tigers with 30 points in the win. Russell Rigdon added 13 points. Tim Ryce had a big game with 10 points in the victory.

Will McInvale hit for 9 points. Larry Hudson had 6 and Randall Hunt scored 2 points.

The Tigers took a 17-11 lead in the first quarter and were on top 31-24 at the halftime break.

In the second half, the Tigers outscored Frisco City 16-15 and had a 47-39 lead going into the final eight minutes.

Red Level continued to score in big chunks with 23 points in the final period for a 70-52 lead.

E. McCarts was the leading scorer for Frisco City with 18 points.

In the varsity girls' game, the Lady Tigers appeared to be on track to record their second win of the season with a 10-2 lead after one quarter of play.

The Lady Whippets erased the lead in the second quarter and held a 16-15 lead at the half.

The Lady Whippets added to the lead in the third quarter en route to a 38-23 win.

Shemika Sanders paced Frisco City with 15 points.

Janaye Brown and Breanna Pate scored 7 points each for the Lady Tigers. Jesica Crawford added 4 points. Chequita Calloway, Starla Jones and Terrisa Franklin also scored.

Red Level won the B-team game by a final score of 61-44.

The B-team Tigers were on top 14-11 after one period of play and held a 29-20 lead at the half.

The B-team Tigers continued to outscore Frisco City in the second half for a 61-44 win.

Princeton Ryce was the leading scorer for the Tigers with 23 points. Dominic Williams added 22 points.

Also scoring for Red Level were Clay Marshall, Casey Hardage, Troy Calloway and Jonathon Griggs.

Scottie English scored 16 points for Frisco City. Pierre Taylor added 11.
