Florala wins three of four

It was a busy weekend for the Florala High School baseball team.

The Florala High School baseball team won three out of four games over the weekend.

The Wildcats swept Samson on Friday in a doubleheader.

Florala won the first game 12-4. Marcus Scofield had a three-run home run in the game. Dusty McDonald was 1-for-2 at the plate with three RBIs and four stolen bases.

Mark Geohagen was the winning pitcher striking out six in 5 innings. Scofield got the save striking out five in two innings.

Florala won the second game 10-0. Dustin Anderson was 1-for-2 in the win with a two-run home run. Andrew Hudson was 2-for-4 with three RBIs.

Dusty McDonald was the winning pitcher. He threw a complete game shutout allowing just two hits while striking out 10.

On Saturday, the Wildcats hosted Red Level for a doubleheader and split with the Tigers.

Florala won the first game 7-1.

Robby Evans was the winning pitcher striking out 10 in 5 2/3 innings. Scofield came in and got the save.

Scofield also had a big game with the bat hitting a three-run home run. Anderson was 2-for-3 with two RBIs.

Red Level won the second game erasing a 4-1 Florala lead.

The Tigers rallied in the final two innings for a 5-4 win.

McDonald was 2-for-3 with four RBIs for the Wildcats.

Florala played a doubleheader in New Brockton yesterday.

The Wildcats will be back on the road Thursday when they travel to Samson for a doubleheader set to begin at 3:30 p.m.
