Though the status of Butler County's public schools remains in doubt, Fort Dale Academy announced Sunday it will be open for business Monday morning.

"Yes Fort Dale will be open Monday for class," Headmaster David Brantley said. "The people I have spoken to agree it's time to get back into some type of routine."

The Board of Education announced it will make a decision some time Monday as to when the public schools will reopen for classes. All school board personnel including teachers and custodians are asked to report for work Monday.

School Superintendent Dr. Mike Reed has stated that he will not open any of the public schools until all the county schools have electricity.
