The Pioneer Museum in Troy has been gearing up for the holidays as well.

On Nov. 27 bargain hunters shopped the village for handcrafted items in search of the great Christmas gift. On Dec. 1 from visitors had their picture taken with an old fashion touch followed by fiddle and guitar music in the log cabin, while hot chocolate and tea cakes were served.

To keep the holiday mood going Christmas carols were sung during a candlelight walk to the log cabin, which was accompanied by the pump organ.
