Crenshaw County Junior Miss Emily Morgan may not have brought home the winning medallion in the Alabama Junior Miss program last Saturday night in Montgomery , but she said it was all a great experience.

"It was so much fun," she said. "I met so many wonderful girls. We had such good times going to all the different luncheons and we got to go to the zoo. We had tons of fun."

Morgan, 18, spent 10 days with a host family while she prepared for the program. Autauga County Junior Miss Jaye Herrod, who attends Prattville High School, won the medallion and scholarship money.

Besides having fun, Morgan said the scholarship program was a learning experience.

"I learned a lot," Morgan said. "We learned a lot of dances ahead of time and we had a lot more free time."

Morgan is a senior at Crenshaw Christian Academy. She was also named the Homecoming Queen.
