Arhelger to perform at Call To Life Church

Jerry Arhelger – singer, songwriter, author and public speaker -has been described as &uot;a man who unveils his Father’s heart through words and music&uot;.

Arhleger will be bringing his special brand of Christian music and ministry to Greenville’s Call To Life Church during its upcoming Concert and Unity Fest.

The event is scheduled for next Sunday, Monday and Tuesday, Jan. 16, 17, 18, at the church’s Glendale Ave. location.

&uot;I’ve had the opportunity to hear Jerry minister before, and it is a true ministry born of his own trials and suffering along with his experiences as a worldwide traveler,&uot; says area lay minister Faye Cummings.

Arhelger, who has hundreds of songs to his credit, has appeared on the cover of three international publications. Owner of Safe Haven Studios and the publishing company, Arhelger Music, he has also performed on stage with famed entertainers including Johnny Cash, Travis Tritt, George Hamilton IV, Hank Williams, Jr., Connie Walsh, Glenn Campbell, Charlie Daniels, B.J. Thomas, Merle Travis, Sheila Walsh, Phil Keagy and Ferlin Husky.

His composition, &uot;Breaker, Breaker, Sweet Jesus&uot;, maintained Top 20 status on both gospel and country charts for 19 months in the US. and England.

New song releases by Arhelger include &uot;The Gardener&uot; and &uot;Faith, Hope and Love&uot;, performed with Wes Davis, and ‘Jesus is the Joy of Living&uot; performed by The Praise Street Band.

Author and advocate

Arhelger also serves as a child safety advocate who founded &uot;MCAP&uot; (Missing Children Awareness Program), offering low-cost identification kits whenever he speaks to schools, churches and groups on the subject of missing children.

He has authored devotionals, seminar materials, and an international magazine column, T.O.O.L. (Teachings of Our Lord).

Arhelger is preparing a new three-book project for release in 2005, &uot;The Life, Love and Loss Project&uot;, highlighting life’s major events of birth, marriage and loss.

He also conducts affirmation seminars for those at business and music conferences, military bases, high schools, colleges, churches and retreats.

Arhelger has ministered through word and music at locations across not only the U.S. but across the world.

Arhelger will be encouraging spectators to &uot;Strike the Match and Start the Fire!&uot; during the concert and crusade beginning on Sun., Jan. 16 at 10:30 a.m. and 6 p.m. and continuing on Monday and Tuesday, Jan. 17 and 18 at 7 p.m. each evening.
