Georgiana falls in pair of games

The Georgiana Lady Panthers took the court looking to move their record back to a winning one, but after games against Straughn and Brantley, the Lady Panthers found themselves three games below .500 with a 3-6 record.
Against Straughn the Lady Panthers stood toe-to-toe with the Lady Tigers, but a late push in the last three minutes of the game put the home standing Straughn up by six. That was a lead that the visitors couldn't overcome, falling 47-41.
Lakeisha Crittendon was the leading scorer for the Lady Panthers with 15 points. She was seconded in scoring by Tiffany Smith with 14 and Patrice Cheatham with six points.
McKena Parker posted the high scores for the Lady Tigers with 12 points. Monday night found the Lady Panthers on the road again.
Georgiana traveled down to Brantley for a game with the Lady Bulldogs.
Brantley posted the 47-37 victory and was led by Jessica Daniels with 20 points.
For the Lady Panthers, it was the usual suspects doing the scoring.
Crittendon finished with 17 points, Smith tacked on 10 and Cheatham ended the night with six points.
