Fashion time pieces, jewelry, add color to any wardrobe

While handbags are a big fashion trend, other accessories can also add color, style and whimsy to your spring and summer wardrobe.

The brooches seen in magazine layouts over the last couple of seasons are still going strong, and some sparkling examples of them can be found at both Special Finds by Janice and Monograms and Designs by Janice.

&uot;I really love this one,&uot; says Janice Stinson of Monograms and Designs by Janice, as she points to a butterfly brooch encrusted with light and dark green faceted stones. Butterflies continue to be a popular motif in fashion jewelry this year and Stinson has a number of different butterfly pins in the $20 price range, including vibrant enameled pieces. She also carries geometric pins with cabachon settings and traditional starbursts.

Brooches are not just for lapels, either; they can be worn on hats, scarves and can be seen around Greenville pinned to handbags.

At Special Finds by Janice, Janice Cole has enameled butterfly sets with necklace and matching earrings in both bright and pastel shades for $18.

But if you really want a regular rainbow of colors to choose from, take a look at Cole’s counter filled with slip-on bangle watches: pinks, purples, greens, reds, yellows, stripes, animal prints and metallics in silvers, golds, even bronzes. Take your pick at just $12 for any watch.

&uot;I assure you the big department stores are carrying the same thing – and they are selling for a lot more than that price,&uot; comments Cole.

She also carries the hot ribbon and scarf watches, with prices running from $18 to $27. &uot;Yes, these are the same watches you have seen on Oprah,&uot; Cole says.

And then there’s Brighton-style watches, polka dot watches and more, all reasonably priced.

It seems there’s no need not to be on time after a stop into Cole’s business.

And Janice Cole has a fashion accessory tip for local ladies: &uot;Watch the local news and see what the news anchors are wearing to keep up with some of the latest trends.&uot;
