The Women Works Department of The Church Of The Living God in McKenzie will host a 50 State Rally on Saturday, April 30 at 6pm.
Music for the evening will be provided by Minister Celeste Crenshaw of Hayneville and Mr. and Mrs. Daniel Webster of Mobile. Food and fellowship will follow the program.

Homecoming services at Friendship Methodist Church will be held Sunday, May 1, beginning at 10:30 a.m. The Rev. Ed. Williams, a retired Church of God minister, will be the guest speaker. Lunch will be served at noon. Congregational singing will follow in the afternoon beginning at 1 p.m.

The annual meeting of the Wesley Chapel Cemetery Association will be held at the cemetery on Saturday, May 7, beginning at 2 p.m.

The Greenville Fine Arts League will have it’s monthly meeting on May 8
at 2 p.m. at the Mainstreet office in downtown Greenville.

The May Board of Education meeting will be held Monday, May 16, at 7 p.m. at R.L. Austin Elementary School. This is a change from the regular third Thursday meeting due to Greenville High School's graduation.
Ongoing Announcements
Greenville High School is accepting $1 donations on chances for a Mother’s Day Basket. This is to raise money for the Relay For Life. The basket includes chocolates from Russell Stovers, 1 year subscription to The Greenville Advocate, gift certificates worth $20 to Ruby Tuesday, complimentary meal for two at Cracker Barrel, picture frames, a purse from Alisa’s closet and much more. The basket values over $300. Come by the school to give your donation of $1 per chance for this basket.
A brand-new Relay For Life team, the &uot;Bunko Babes&uot;, is now pre-selling tickets for delicious barbecue chicken plates to raise funds for the annual American Cancer Society event.The plates, which feature chicken, bread, baked beans, dessert and a drink, are only $5 each. They can be be picked at the Bunko Babes tent the night of Relay (May 6). For more information, call Jill Stallworth at 382-9597 or Jana Ealum at 376-4051.
A emergency cell phone drive in underway for the Save-A-Life, Give-A-Phone foundation. Phones collected are refurbished to provide emergency access to battered women shelters, elderly and those in need. The local drop-off point for used phones is Walker Business Machines on East Commerce Street.
A Christian men's prayer and networking breakfast will meet every Wednesday at 7 a.m. at Just Julie's Cafe on Highway 10. For more information contact Doyle Sasser at 391-0351 or John Gentry at 346-2616.
